Using strategies in bingo

If you could just find on strategy that would guarantee you to leave the bingo room with more money than you showed up with, everything would be fantastic! But that si not going to happen; the problem is that such a strategy simply does not exist. And anyone who claims to have a surefire strategy to playing bingo, is not entirely honest and should be ignored.

Improve The Odds in Bingo

Never the less, it is possible to improve the odds of the game. Because bingo is a game of pure probability, improving odds is the only way to somehow try and make a better outcome to the player, and although bingo is a fun game to play, winning is quite naturally one of the main purposes of gambling.

To improve your chancing of winning or to improve your odds you can either work the conditions around the game itself (buy many tickets or play at less crowded bingo rooms) or you can have a go at using a strategy or even a combination of the above.

Buying as many bingo cards as you can afford will leave you with greater chances of winning simply because of the fact that you have now got more numbers to play on. The more bingo cards you have, the greater the probability that at least one of your cards is paying off. Most bingo sites will have an upper limit on how many cards the player must play with per game. Playing with a lot of cards in a physical bingo room can be quite hard to aminister, as you need to mark every number called out. At online bingo sites this is made much more easy, since you are automatically notified when you win!

Another smart move is to play at bingo rooms with less players. With fewer opponents you have greater chances of winning. It is only natural that your odds are improved when you have less competetion. You could compare this to if you are the only one on the football field you are quite likely to both win and be the best player there…

The advice of playing at games with less opponents can backfire. You should always try and find out if there is a reason why there are less players on exactly that bingo room or that certain game. If players stay away from the game or bingo room because for any good reason – you should definitely do the same thing! You should always only play at trusted bingo sites.

Tippett’s Therory

As mentioned, using a strategy might improve the winning odds. Such a strategy was invented an named by British statistician L. H. C. Tippett. The Tippett’s Theory is a very complex theory about randomness. In short, Tippett’s theory is that the more bingo numbers that are called out, the more likely the numbers called are going to be to the median number which in a game of bingo is 38. Therefore, if you are playing a short game and can select your cards, you are best to choose numbers closer to 1 and 78. In games of longer duration, according to the theory, it is an advantage to choose cards with a high concentration of numbers close to the meridian number of 38. This theory has been used by many players and seem to work.

But do remember that bingo is a probability game. Although your odds can be improved somewhat, you simply can not be guaranteed to win by any strategy or method.
